The IWBF 2020 technical program will include Special Sessions to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of particular interest, in line with the technical scope of the conference.

Proposal Submission

Prospective organizers of Special Sessions should submit proposals (in pdf and not to exceed three pages) by email to emanuele.maiorana AT uniroma3.it

Proposals should comprise the following information:

• Special sessione title
• Short description of the proposed topic (one paragraph)
• Novelty and motivation (one to two paragraphs), including any possible interdisciplinary flavor
• Short biography f the organizers
• List of contributed papers (including titles, authors, contact information of the corresponding author, and a short abstract)

Upon acceptance of the special session proposal, the contributed papers will be submitted in the same format as regular papers, and will undergo the same revision process.

It is expected that proposed special sessions can secure a minimum number of at least four high quality papers after the revision process.

In case a Special Session is undersubscribed, it may be canceled, with accepted papers placed into the regular program.

Proposals will be evaluated based on topic novelty and associated impact, organizing committee qualifications, as well as the proposed list of contributed papers.
